How To Arrange Your Own Vase of Flowers

Arranging your own bouquet of flowers in a vase is a fun and creative activity that can brighten up any room. Here are some steps to arrange your own simple hand-tied bouquet:

  1. Choose your flowers: Decide on the type of flowers you want to include in your bouquet. You can choose a single type of flower or mix different types and colours for a more eclectic look.

  2. Prepare the flowers: Remove any leaves and thorns from the stems, and trim them to the desired length. Keep in mind that the stems should be long enough to create a bouquet, but not so long that they are difficult to manage.

  3. Arrange the flowers: Start with one or two focal flowers in the centre of your bouquet, and build around them. Use smaller flowers and foliage to create a rounded shape. Keep turning the bouquet as you add each new stem to give yourself an even placement.

  4. Secure the bouquet: Hold the bouquet in one hand, and use the other hand to wrap a length of floral tape or string around the stems and wrap tightly to create a secure base.

  5. Cut the stems: Use a sharp pair of scissors or a kitchen knife to trim the stems at a 45-degree angle and make sure that they are all the same length.

  6. Apply fresh water to your vase: Make sure that your vase is clean and has fresh water for your flowers to have a good drink/ Make sure you change the water every few days to help keep the flowers fresh, and re-trim 1cm off the stems

With these simple steps, you can now arrange your own vase with flowers.
